Impress is awarded top honors at 2010 Print Excellence Awards

Chatsworth, CA – Impress Communications (“Impress”), an industry-leading commercial printer and visual communications company, received (4) awards at the 2010 Print Excellence Awards presented by PIASC, APALA and APAOC. This annual competition challenges the best printers throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County, managed hundreds of entries from top printing firms.

Impress earned Best Marketing & Promotional Materials for a creatively constructed zip-strip direct mailer. The winning piece consisted of a cleverly designed rendering of a dress that incorporated a zip-strip as the dress zipper, opening up to reveal the contents of the mailer. For Best Brochure, Broadsides, Booklets and Flyers, Impress took home top honors for a stunning company brochure featuring 4-color + PMS + reticulating spot varnish dull + spot reticulating gloss coating and spot soft touch.

Other winning Impress projects include the highly popular Impress 2010 Desktop Calendar, earning honors in Print/Graphic Arts Self-Promotion, showcasing more than a dozen printing techniques and finishes that not only promote Impress’ print services but diverse design capabilities as well. Impress also took home an award in the Finishing Techniques category, with a company booklet that Impress developed, designed and printed.
